Did not know they had a green tomatillo offering as well...see...that's why I like your offerings! Or is there another salsa they have of which I am not aware?JustinMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976061296214532098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-59283500121779600992011-12-20T04:32:15.149-05:002011-12-20T04:32:15.149-05:00Ate there tonight - they have a medium salsa btwee...Ate there tonight - they have a medium salsa btween the boring one you mentioned and the habanero - just FYI.

Agree with the average - and btw - great work on your blog - grew up in Pasadena and now in OC for 2 decades - great to read your stuff to relive past glory and what's new.

Thanks.Irvine Jonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-84567210944450021012011-12-02T21:47:13.360-05:002011-12-02T21:47:13.360-05:00you're really getting good at this.you're really getting good at this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-76812683582303906842011-11-30T20:20:05.091-05:002011-11-30T20:20:05.091-05:00Anon: Maybe one day there will be a book about oth...Anon: Maybe one day there will be a book about other stuff, but the food writing will always be free!

Anon: My only rules have been no politics or religion... but maybe a new one: no Rachel Ray.

Cafe: Well, I thought I'd always liked the food at the original and that it was better than the Pasadena location, but now I see I was just inexperienced with Mexican food.JustinMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976061296214532098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-84749559347497337342011-11-30T19:04:07.167-05:002011-11-30T19:04:07.167-05:00I get from this you remember El Cholo fondly but N...I get from this you remember El Cholo fondly but NOT because of the food. I have to assume restaurants experience a certain turnover of their kitchen staffs every few years at the least. Thus, the only thing that doesn't change is simply the name.

It will be interesting to see how long the Pasadena El Cholo after making its 2nd location change to de Paseo will survive. But if the original can survive on average food all this time, well lucky for them, if not us diners.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-23525443014014419612011-11-30T16:51:14.662-05:002011-11-30T16:51:14.662-05:00the chimis look yum-oh (as rachael ray would say)the chimis look yum-oh (as rachael ray would say)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-72084789968800583612011-11-30T13:02:33.562-05:002011-11-30T13:02:33.562-05:00You should turn this all into a book and get peopl...You should turn this all into a book and get people to pay for it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
