Their fish tacos, steak, and "chicken carnitas" weren't very good.JustinMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976061296214532098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-1846378316017435172012-05-03T15:20:09.019-04:002012-05-03T15:20:09.019-04:00Your experience at Zaxby's sounds like my El P...Your experience at Zaxby's sounds like my El Pollo Loco experience; they opened one in St. Louis near me (exploring the mid-west market, apparently) and after hearing all sorts of good things about them from folks in the SW, I only got one decent meal out of about 6 tries. The sides were decent, and they tested a 'sirloin steak chili' that was really good, but for the most part the chicken was meh at best. I think it had a lot more to do with kitchen management rather than what the product was supposed to be. They closed after about a year and it's now an IHOP.Mike N.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-39811998257432056272012-05-02T21:12:43.141-04:002012-05-02T21:12:43.141-04:00I don't think we're on opposite sides. If I had received the "crispy, soft and fluffy on the inside" fries that you describe, I would have loved them, too.JustinMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976061296214532098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-74914287381288482342012-05-02T20:34:43.130-04:002012-05-02T20:34:43.130-04:00Wow, we are on opposite sides here, Justin. The outside, however, reminds me of an Armenian banquet hall. <br />Those krinkle-cut fries appear to be right off the grocers frozen shelf.Nosh Gnostichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09903701073242931822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-319445054584013211.post-32636536242201166162012-05-02T11:47:16.014-04:002012-05-02T11:47:16.014-04:00But what about the Brownie Batter Milkshake?!But what about the Brownie Batter Milkshake?!mindful mulehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04351688583487129714noreply@blogger.com
