Krüegermann & The Huell
If you've read this blog before, you know how much I love watching Huell Howser. Last night, while in the middle of dinner, a new episode came on about Kruegermann sauerkraut. I've written before, about Waldo Ward, that all I need to love a food is for it to be local, delicious, and Huell to have done an episode on the place. Krugermann's products have now hit the trifecta.
Kruergmann have been making pickles and sauerkraut in the "old world" way for decades. Taylor's butcher shop sells several of their products and I have been eating them for years. It just so happens I have both the spicy garlic pickles and "rotkohl" (red cabbage with apple) in the fridge, so I decided to make myself a hot dog in honor of the show.
It was a very tasty hot dog. Krugermann's condiments are so flavorful that I don't need to put any mustard on the dog, which is the only time I don't. And the episode of Huell was spectacular. If you've ever wanted to see Huell wearing a hair net and standing in several tons of cabbage, or eating a giant mess of cabbage with his hands, this is the episode for you.
"If you've ever wanted to see Huell wearing a hair net and standing in several tons of cabbage"
ReplyDeleteI'm willing to bet a lot of money that this particular phrase has never before been constructed.
You may well be right, although Huell is at that rare level where most people don't know what you're talking about, but the few who do are passionate. It's like mentioning the movie Top Secret, or Hutch's restaurant, or Andrew Toney's crossver move. Most people will be like "What the hell are you talking about?" But the few who do recognize get REALLY exited.
ReplyDeleteSo it's possible someone has had that thought about Huell before. But probably not likely.
You always make me laugh. And I LOVE (!!!) Top Secret
ReplyDeleteWell, I figured The Huell to be kinky, but...
