It turns out, pretty damn good. They claim the shrimp are "dipped in a lime chili batter." I suppose this may be true, although I did not taste either of those flavors. Still, the shrimp were perfectly cooked. There weren't very many of them in the taco - maybe 4 or 5 - but for $1.89 I can't complain.
I was hungry and ordered a large order of fries. It's been a long time since I've ordered a large order, and I had forgotten how big it was. I took a picture next to a bottle of beer for perspective. And in case you're wondering, MGD 64 is very good. My friend Jim turned me onto it a couple months ago, claiming it tastes like Pacifico. I'm not sure I would go that far, but it still has a better taste than any other low-calorie beer out there.
I also squirted some "Del Inferno" hot sauce on the taco. It doesn't cause flames to shoot out of your mouth like the commercial suggests, but it is still a very spicy hot sauce.
This is another winner in Del Taco's line of fast food promotions.

You should revisit the classic - a soft taco with no lettuce leaving only the core ingredients of beef, cheese, and tortilla. Even without the hot sauce, it's still a masterpiece! I have at least six every morning for breakfast.
"Revisit" that? I have never ordered one. As long as they have the chicken soft taco that is all I will ever order when I want a taco.
I do respect you eating those for breakfast, though.
