Breakfast Lunch & Dinner

Grilled breakfast sandwich with UnieKaas Parrano (perhaps my favorite cheese at the moment), scrambled egg whites, ham, and red pepper.

Ruffles Max Beer Battered Onion Rings (eerily accurate description) and Whole Foods sushi.

Slow-cooked pork sliders with homemade mustard sauce and Crab Cooker cole slaw, "Southern-style" potato salad (whatever that means) and grilled corn with cilantro butter.

I get the idea that "Southern style" potato salad has sweet relish in it, for some reason. Did it have a different flavor to it?

Hi Laura. You may be right - I was thinking it had to do with the mustard-tinge to the dressing - but I think there was some sweet relish in there. It wasn't pronounced, but this was just something I picked up from a supermarket deli counter.

Where did you buy the cheese from? And in Florida anyway, I have always found that Southern stlye potato salad includes hard boiled eggs.

Jillian, I got it at Whole Foods.

My North Carolina-raised mom made me potato salad for my birthday dinner last weekend, and there were indeed hard boiled eggs in it. So good.

Not even a hint of anything sweet though, we both agreed that sweetness in potato salad and coleslaw is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord.
