A Burger & A Merry Christmas To You

I had to do something to get that Jack in the Box burger out of my mind. So, not surprisingly, I went by Taylor's and got some ground beef, seasoned it with pepper and a touch of garlic salt, and cooked it in a skillet.

I put it on a potato bun with dill pickle slices, Sir Kensington's ketchup, and lettuce. I know the burger looks like it was about six inches high. That's because it was.

And damn was it delicious.

I hope you all have a fun, safe, happy holiday.

Just some frozen Ralph's-brand "crispy fries." Below average. I had wanted to have onion rings but they didn't have any.

Merry Christmas Justin :)

Picked up some Gates BBQ sauce at the HyVee because of you. Pretty righteous stuff. Dig the spicy cuminy flavor.

Looked tasty. Can't wait to see Christmas dinner.

Rob in Toronto.

I had to Google HyVee. You learn something new every day.

Rob, there will be two, maybe three Christmas dinners.

I'll ask again: why do you ever get fast food burgers when you can make burgers like this?

At any rate Merry Christmas!

Merry xmas to you too! I will have to read up on that jack in the box burger (a little behind in the blogosphere these days). When you say Taylors, do you mean Taylor's steak house in K-town? I'd also like to mention I had a tall buffalo burger yesterday in Catalina Island... yeah, that is 2 burgers in one month! Papazoaw!

Glad you're having a good vacation. I hope to see some Catalina pictures. If Elizabeth hadn't decided to go back to NY at the (relatively speaking) last minute, we were going to go to Catalina, too.

I mean Taylor's Ol' Fashioned Meat Market in Sierra Madre. It's pretty much the only place I will buy beef. Some people say it's expensive, but those are people who do not understand the concept of USDA Prime, or that some poultry and pork is less expensive because it is disgustingly inferior.
